Core Beliefs
God
There is one eternally existing God who exists as three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and remains the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Revelation
God has revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the Holy Scriptures, and all of creation itself.
Mankind
Humans, both male and female, were created in the image of God in order to bring Him pleasure and for His glory. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin and appointed as caretakers of creation. We believe that the creation of humanity as male and female was a purposeful and magnificent part of God’s beautiful plan, and that men and women were designed to reflect the image of God in complementary and distinct ways.
The Fall
When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, they lost their true identity and became distorted reflections of Him. This decision caused a separation between them and God, resulting in a fracture in all of creation that persists to this day. We believe that sin has alienated all people from God, preventing us from fully reflecting His image as we were intended to do. Our only hope for restoration and salvation lies in repentance and faith in Christ, who lived a perfect life, died in our place, and rose from the dead.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a sacrificial sinless life and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. God raised Him from the dead, and now, by grace, He offers eternal life as a free gift to all who follow Christ as their Lord and Savior through faith. Salvation is found in Christ alone.
The Church
The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ’s Church emphasizes love, grace, faith, and the Great Commission—Jesus' instruction to His followers to make disciples of all nations. It is founded on the Word of God (the Bible) and the apostles' teachings, with Christ Himself as the head. The Church exists to worship God, grow in faith, serve others, and share the Gospel message.
Resurrection
Jesus Christ will one day return to judge both the living and the dead and to bring about the complete realization of God's kingdom on earth. The Second Coming is the moment when Jesus will fulfill the remaining parts of God's redemptive plan, which includes final judgment, the resurrection, and the establishment of His eternal Kingdom. We eagerly anticipate this event as the ultimate hope and culmination of God's promise of salvation.
