If only I knew then, what I know now:

1. Life is filled with challenges.

James 1: 2-5 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

2. You become like the people you hang around.

I Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.

Proverbs 18:24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 16:28 A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.

Five Friends that will make your life better:

  • The Grace Giver
  • The Truth Teller
  • The Couch Counselor
  • The Burden Bearer
  • The Secret Keeper

3. God’s Word is real, relevant and absolute truth.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting Life.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth the lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:10 for with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord, shall be saved.
