“Count the Cost”

Luke 14:28-30 (NLT)

28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? 29 Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. 30 They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’

3 Questions to Counting the Cost

1. What’s it going to cost me financially?

  • Have a PLAN
  • Be careful with PLASTIC
  • Set PRIORITIES

2. What’s it going to cost me physically?

Psalm 127:2 (NLT) It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.

3. What’s it going to cost me spiritually?

A Disciple of Jesus Means:

  • It’s DAILY.
  • It’s being DEVOTED.
  • It’s DECLARING.
